There is no parking outside the church hall. It is OK to stop briefly outside the hall to drop off pit boxes should you wish.
Although Silverless Street has 2 way traffic on it, there in No Entry from the Herd Street / Green end of the road. For the race day on the Sunday, the easiest place to park is in the High Street. Parking is free, with no time limit on Sundays. On Saturdays parking in Marlborough is chargeable in the High Street, and many of the car parks have limits on the maximum duration of between 2 and 3 hrs. The main car park, with unlimited parking time, is George Lane Car Park, George Lane, Marlborough, SN8 4BX However, there is normally plenty of free on street parking further up the hill from the club on Free's Avenue (look for Marlborough Rugby Club). |
LocationFLBT is located at St Marys Church Hall just off Marlborough High Street.

Track
|
The track is a wooden track with satin/gloss finish built by Lee Parsons to BSCRA standards, but with a 100mm lane spacing.
We run at 13.6v and each lane has it's own power supply. The track is braided with a recess of around 0.010" to 0.015" This is a portable track that gets put up and taken down every week. As a result, there will be bumps at some of the joints. We will, obviously, do the best we can to minimize these when we put the track up but it will not be glass smooth like permanent wood tracks. As we use a dead strip for timing, using Trackmate linked to Race Coordinator, we cannot detect jumps starts. As a result we will be using a dead start. Heats will be over a fixed time with the power going off on all lanes at the same time. Final lap distance is calculated based on the last full lap completed (so don't come off near the end of the race). |
